Patchwork Denim: Your Childhood Art Project Come Alive

It's back. It's bold. It's that trend you wish you could have kept hidden in the back of your closet. It's the look you despised back in '92, but wore religiously for the sake of the trend. It's that pair of jeans you threw in the garbage as soon as you realized you were in a trend haze. It's PATCHWORK.

Patchwork may remind you of the good ol' days back in preschool when cutting and pasting photos was art and you could bring it home to mommy and daddy only for them to frame it on their wall. You were so proud of yourself and you knew you would one day become a famous artist (or designer), unaware of the woes of poverty that came along with it. Alas, your parents were lying. Back then, they knew you were a clumsy child with a creative soul and banked on your improvement. They wanted to encourage your artistic behaviour to promote your creativity and build your self-esteem. Back then, they may have shared your artist aspirations, but only while the artistic career wasn't a concrete possibility. Today, even your parents know that patchwork is for the arts and crafts table only.

HOWEVER, it looks really cool on boys.

If you want to play and you're bored of your plain jane blue jeans, try the patchwork trend. You may not be wearing it to your next job interview, but give it a go on the streets and it may surprise you.
